Fine Wool Kutchi Stole
An intricately woven stole by an award winning artisan, using the kutchi extra weft technique. An excellent and tasteful stole to have in your collection or to give to something special,
Bhujodi shawls are handwoven in a five hundred year old tradition by a small community of 'vankars' in the Bhujodi region of Kutch, Gujarat. Woven on pit looms, the authentic shawls are made with handspun country wool, which is coarse in texture. As the art developed to cater to commercial needs, a variety of blends have been introduced that offer softer and easier-to-maintain versions. Those blended with tussar (moth) silk are extremely popular for their refined, regal look.
