Handmade products come with their own quirks and imperfections. We don't consider them faults, rather it is these individualistic characteristics that make them beautiful and distinguish them from machine made products. Even if the same design is replicated, minor variations can be present. As such, we request that you account for this when making your purchase. 

A big part of sustainability is things that are made well, and made to last. But sustainable practices in creation cannot be implemented fully if care is not taken to preserve an item by the owners. Regular cleaning, careful storage, avoiding contact with harsh substances, and washing/drying gently are some habits that will ensure that your products will remain good as new for decades to come. Remember that somebody has put in considerable effort for you to be able to enjoy the labour of their love. 

The majority of textiles we bring to you are all or in part handspun, handdyed, and handwoven. We work directly with artisans to ensure that you get the best that they have to offer. Most of those who love to acquire these items, do so with much love and reverence for their origins. As such, we do request that you handle them with care. 

• Soft and fine fabrics are best washed by hand. 
• Mild detergents are recommended.
• When using the machine, wash on a low intensity cycle. Do not tumble dry. Dry in shade. 
• Wash dark colours seperately. In particular magentas, blacks, dark blues, and dark green.
• When in doubt, wash by hand or pass it to a professional laundry. Textiles like ecoprinted fabrics SHOULD NOT be dry cleaned. 

Our range of art jewellery is very wide and varied. The longevity of any art (costume/imitation) jewellery piece depends largely on the wearer. While we can offer you the strongest assurance of quality, all jewellery comes with a limited guarantee. As such, we have tested all of our products over the years to ensure that only the most reliable are retained on our shelves. 

Important points to note:

• The beauty of handmade jewellery comes in how intricate and original it can be. However, this also means that sometimes links and bindings can come loose. But they can also be just as easily fixed.
• A large number of our pieces come with natural stones. It is worthwhile to note that if the stones are authentic, the elements can be almost the same but never identical. For example: the right and left pair of earrings may not have 100% identical stones as it is nearly impossible with natural stones. However, most get close enough that you won't notice unless you really look. 

Care instructions

• As with any imitation jewellery, protect from perfume, soap, and harsh chemicals. Store in sealed plastic or the muslin pouches that we provide.
• Varnished wood, velvet, etc., lead to tarnish in the long term.
•  Oxidisation of silver polished brass is a natural process. It settles after a point.
• Natural stone and mother of pearl ornaments will never  have the exact same elements. That is the beauty of it, and the imperfections are what sets them apart.
