The Team
Inaãra was founded in 2021 by Qatar resident Rabia Fathima Qazi. It is now led in joint partnership with Mizna Nizar. Both women are seasoned entrepreneurs with a passion for Indian textiles and heritage crafts.

Inaãra was born in the aftermath of two significant events that have greatly impacted the unorganized rural economy of India. Communities that relied heavily on the patronage of foreign buyers seeking quality products.

Demonitization of the currency in circulation was a death knell for many of these communities that were reliant on cash based transactions, and while still recovering from its effects, the COVID lockdown came about as a nail in the coffin. The consequent global economic downturn has brought about a permanent change in the production and market reach of handcrafted products.

Over the years since its inception, Inaãra has grown to develop deep bonds with its artisans who enjoy the process of creating new, unusual products using their heritage skill. Our relationships with our artisans stands above every market dynamic and we are proud to be part of the larger community working towards reviving and sustaining heritage crafts.

We work almost on a daily basis with our craftsmen to innovate for the Qatar market and its population, and are thrilled to be able to bring together two cultures that lay great emphasis on heritage and culture.

We are on a mission to help revive India's dying crafts and craft communities. With a five thousand year old civilization, these crafts have developed over millenia, refined, updated, and brought to new heights with each successive era. There is a vast variety of unique and exquisite items that come to life under the skillful hands of Indian artisans. We are lucky enough to be the ones to bring them to you direct from these humble guardians of heritage.
