Handwoven Bhujodi Dhabada Desert Shawls
Bhujodi shawls are handwoven in a five hundred year old tradition by a small community of 'vankars' in the Bhujodi region of Kutch, Gujarat. Woven on pit looms, the authentic shawls are made with handspun country wool, which is mildly coarse in texture. These shawls have been typically worn by the nomads and herders when out on in the desert and offer excellent protection from heat, cold, and wind.
